Songs he wrote when he was in <strong><em><u>The Beatles:<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <em>&#8220;Cry For A Shadow&#8221; &#8220;Don&#8217;t Bother Me&#8221; &#8220;You Know What You Do&#8221; &#8220;I Need You&#8221; &#8220;You Like Me Too Much&#8221; &#8220;Think For Yourself&#8221; &#8220;If I Needed Someone&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Taxman&#8221; &#8220;Love You To&#8221; &#8220;I Want To Tell You&#8221; &#8220;Within You Without You&#8221; &#8220;Blue Jay Way&#8221; &#8220;Inner Light&#8221; &#8220;While My Guitar Gently Weeps&#8221; &#8220;Piggies&#8221; &#8220;Savoy Truffle&#8221; &#8220;Long Long Long&#8221; &#8220;Not Guilty&#8221; &#8220;Only\u00a0 A Northern Song&#8221; &#8220;It&#8217;s All Too Much&#8221; &#8220;Old Brown Shoe&#8221; &#8220;Something&#8221; Here Comes The Sun&#8221; &#8220;All Things Must Pass&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;For You Blue&#8221; &#8220;I Me Mine&#8221;.<\/em> He worked with many other artists such as: <strong><em><u>Cream, James Taylor, Jackie Lomax, Plastic Ono Band, Doris Troy, Badfinger, Nilsson, Splinter &amp; Monty Python,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> as well as he was a session player on almost 100 recordings by other artists. George released <strong><em><u>18 LPs &amp; CDs,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; <strong><em>28 Singles<\/em><\/strong> from <strong><em><u>1968 -2002<\/u><\/em><\/strong> as well as a member of <strong><em><u>&#8216;The Traveling Wilburys&#8217; 1988 -1990<\/u><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>&gt; Party Seacombe: 1968 -69&lt;<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While still a member of the <strong><em><u>Beatles, Harrison<\/u><\/em><\/strong> was the 1st member to actually release a Solo LP outside the band <strong><em><u>&#8216;Wonderwall&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> was released in <strong><em><u>Nov 1968<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em><u>Apple Records<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; hit <strong><em><u>#49<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the Billboard Charts. This is an instrumental soundtrack to the film of the same name released in <strong><em><u>Jan &#8217;69<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, due to Musician&#8217;s Union Rules <em>(at the time)<\/em> the music used in films <em>(or TV)<\/em> could NOT Be the same music released on an LP, it had to be re- recorded, when Harrison was recording the film&#8217;s music he had <strong><em><u>&#8216;The Monkees&#8217; Peter Tork<\/u><\/em><\/strong> play banjo in the film score.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Harrison<\/u><\/em><\/strong> released a 2nd Solo LP while in the Beatles <strong><em><u>&#8216;Electronic Sound&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> released in <strong><em><u>May 1969<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em><u>Zapple<\/u><\/em><\/strong> this reached <strong><em><u>#191<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the charts. Harrison bought one of the 1st <strong><em><u>Moogs<\/u><\/em><\/strong> available in &#8217;68, he was so impressed with the instrument recorded an entire LP with it &amp; was 2nd &amp; last LP released on <strong><em><u>Zapple Records<\/u><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>&gt;Awaiting On You All: 1970 -72&lt;<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With <strong><em><u>Lennon<\/u><\/em><\/strong> announcing his leaving <strong><em><u>The Beatles<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Sep &#8217;70<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; <strong><em><u>McCartney<\/u><\/em><\/strong> filing papers to do so in <strong><em><u>Dec&#8217; 70,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> Harrison releases his 3rd &amp; by far most successful Solo LP <strong><em><u>\u2018All Things Must Pass\u2019<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <em>(a 3 LP set)<\/em> in <strong><em><u>Nov 1970<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; hits\u00a0<strong><em><u>#1<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the Billboard Charts, using his usual back-up band, being: <strong><em><u>Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Klaus Voormann, Gary Wright &amp; Jim Keltner.<\/u><\/em><\/strong> 2 singles are released: <strong><em><u>&#8220;My Sweet Lord b\/w Isn&#8217;t It A Pity (ver 1)&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> which hits\u00a0<strong><em><u>#1<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the charts in <strong><em><u>Dec&#8217; 70<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, followed by <strong><em><u>&#8220;What Is Life b\/w Apple Scruffs&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> which rises to <strong><em><u>#10<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Mar &#8217;71.<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In <strong><em><u>Nov &#8217;71<\/u><\/em><\/strong> the film <strong><em><u>&#8220;Raga&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 <em>(with Ravi Shankar &amp; Harrison)<\/em> is released, the unusually shy George makes 2 TV appearances to promote the film; <strong><em><u>23 Nov &#8217;71<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the <strong><em><u>&#8216;Dick Cavett Show&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; followed by the <strong><em><u>&#8216;David Frost Show&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em><u>10 Dec 1971<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in the <strong><em><u>UK<\/u><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Being a devout <strong><em><u>Hindu <\/u><\/em><\/strong>&amp; concerned with the\u00a0conditions in <strong><em><u>Pakistan,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> he releases the <em>Non-LP single<\/em> <strong><em><u>&#8220;Bangla Desh b\/w Deep Blue&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> released in <strong><em><u>Jul &#8217;71<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; hitting\u00a0<strong><em><u>#23<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Sep &#8217;71<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, he releases his 1st <em>&#8220;live&#8221; album (recorded from 2 shows in NYC Madison Square Garden on 1 Aug &#8217;71 &amp; another 3 LP set)<\/em> <strong><em><u>&#8216;Concert For Bangladesh&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> is released in <strong><em><u>Dec 1971<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; reaches <strong><em><u>#2<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the charts. A film for the event was released in <strong><em><u>May 1972,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> also appearing with Harrison was <strong><em><u>Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Ravi Shankar, Leon Russell, Badfinger &amp; Bob Dylan<\/u><\/em><\/strong> for this charity event the very first of its kind.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>&gt; Don&#8217;t Let Me Wait Too Long: 1973&lt;<\/u><\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nHarrison&#8217;s 5th Solo LP <strong><em><u>&#8216;Living In The Material World&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> is very nearly a straight up <em>Christian Rock album<\/em>, released in <strong><em><u>May 1973<\/u><\/em><\/strong> his second <strong><em><u>#1<\/u><\/em><\/strong> album on the charts, with the <strong><em><u>#1<\/u><\/em><\/strong> single <strong><em><u>&#8220;Give Me Love b\/w Miss O&#8217;Dell<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em> (3rd non-lp track)&#8221;<\/em> in <strong><em><u>Jun &#8217;73<\/u><\/em><\/strong>. In the Spring of &#8217;73, Harrison worked on <strong><em><u>Ringo Starr&#8217;s<\/u><\/em><\/strong> 3rd Solo LP <strong><em><u>&#8220;Ringo&#8221;,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> \u00a0<em>(released in Nov \u201973)<\/em> Harrison wrote <strong><em><u>&#8220;Photograph&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <em>(#1 on charts)<\/em> <strong><em><u>&#8220;Sunshine Life For Me&#8221; &amp; &#8220;You And Me Babe&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, he played on these as well as <strong><em><u>&#8220;I&#8217;m The Greatest&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <em>(written by Lennon).<\/em> Harrison had previously worked on 2 other 45 singles by <strong><em><u>Starr<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <strong><em><u>&#8220;It Don&#8217;t Come Easy b\/w Early 1970&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> \u00a0<strong><em><u>#4<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Apr &#8217;71,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> Harrison actually wrote <em>&#8220;It Don&#8217;t Come Easy&#8221;<\/em> but did not take credit, &amp; then <strong><em><u>&#8220;Back Off Boogaloo b\/w Blindman&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <strong><em><u>#9<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Mar &#8217;72.<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>&gt;Hari&#8217;s On Tour Express: 1974&lt;<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So George is a roll, <strong><em><u>&#8216;Dark Horse&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <em>(released with 2 covers, the 2nd a later re-issue)<\/em> is released in <strong><em><u>Dec 1974<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, however missing the #1 spot &amp; landing at <strong><em><u>#4<\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 on the charts, which is why he probably released 2 singles for this LP, the 1st being <strong><em><u>&#8220;Dark Horse b\/w I Don&#8217;t Care Anymore<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em> (4<sup>th<\/sup> non-lp)&#8221;<\/em> hitting <strong><em><u>#15<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the charts in <strong><em><u>Jan &#8217;75<\/u><\/em><\/strong> followed by: <strong><em><u>&#8220;Ding Dong b\/w Hari&#8217;s On Tour Express&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> which rose to <strong><em><u>#36<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Feb &#8217;75<\/u><\/em><\/strong> accompanied by Harrison&#8217;s 1st ever <strong><em><u>Video Clip<\/u><\/em><\/strong> for this song <em>(Musician Union Rules dictated filmed appearances such as this, if not recorded &#8220;live&#8221; had to clearly appear that they are staged, therefore a\u00a0 &#8220;music video&#8221;)<\/em>. Harrison appears on the Music-TV Show <strong><em><u>&#8220;Rock On With 45&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em><u>15 Feb 1975<\/u><\/em><\/strong> Music TV Show, to promote his &#8216;Dark Horse&#8217; LP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As <strong><em><u>Apple Records<\/u><\/em><\/strong> dissolved <em>(The Beatles were officially &amp; legally dissolved in Dec &#8217;74)<\/em> Harrison founded his own record label <strong><em><u>&#8220;Dark Horse Records&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> <em>(a total of 7 artists were released on this label)<\/em> in <strong><em><u>May &#8217;74<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, it was distributed by <strong><em><u>A&amp;M Records<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, while recording this LP, Harrison met his 2nd wife <strong><em><u>Olivia<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em> (18 May 1948 Mexico City)<\/em> at the <strong><em><u>A&amp;M Studios<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>L.A.<\/u><\/em><\/strong> To\u00a0 help launch his new record label, Harrison embarked on his <em>1st &amp; only<\/em> USA Tour &amp; the 1st Beatle to Tour The US since 1966, he played about <strong><em><u>30 dates<\/u><\/em><\/strong> from <strong><em><u>2 Nov to 20 Dec 1974<\/u><\/em><\/strong>, with: <strong><em><u>Billy Preston &amp; Ravi Shankar &amp; Tom Scott.<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>(*My band &#8220;PsychoGello&#8221; will be\u00a0 releasing a cover version of the song &#8220;Dark Horse&#8221; on our upcoming CD &#8220;Sounds From Another Planet&#8221; due later this year)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Sat 16 Nov 1974<\/u><\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<em>(While Harrison sang these songs in concert, 10 other songs were performed by;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Shankar who played 7, Preston played 3 &amp; Scott 1, songs at these shows<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Hari&#8217;s On Tour Express (instrumental)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Something<br \/>\nWhile My Guitar Gently Weeps<br \/>\nSue Me Sue You Blues<br \/>\nFor You Blue<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Sound Stage of Mind (Non-LP Instrumental)<br \/>\nIn My Life<br \/>\nM\u0101ya Love<br \/>\nDark Horse<br \/>\nWhat Is Life<br \/>\nMy Sweet Lord<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>(I have a Vinyl &#8220;Bootleg&#8221; LP of one of these concerts from Largo, MD.) <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>&gt;1975 -76: The Answer&#8217;s At The End &lt;<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now at the end of his <strong><em><u>&#8220;EMI&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> contract Harrison releases his final LP for Apple <strong><em><u>&#8216;Extra Texture&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> released in <strong><em><u>Sep 1975<\/u><\/em><\/strong> &amp; it did chart as high as <strong><em><u>#8<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on the charts again with 2 singles for the album <strong><em><u>&#8220;You b\/w World Of Stone&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> which rose to <strong><em><u>#20<\/u><\/em><\/strong> in <strong><em><u>Nov &#8217;75,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> followed by <strong><em><u>&#8220;This Guitar Can&#8217;t Keep from Crying b\/w Maya Love&#8221;.<\/u><\/em><\/strong> Harrison appeared <em>(along with New York Dolls &amp; David Bowie)<\/em> in the <strong><em><u>1975<\/u><\/em><\/strong> film <strong><em><u>&#8220;Night Lunch&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> about the Glam &amp; Punk music scene.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the year Harrison started his long -time association with <strong><em><u>&#8220;Monty Python&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> cast, he appeared on <strong><em><u>&#8220;Rutland Weekend Television&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em><u>26 Dec 75<\/u><\/em><\/strong> with\u00a0<strong><em><u>Eric Idle<\/u><\/em><\/strong> performing\u00a0<strong><em><u>\u201dPirate Song\u201d<\/u><\/em><\/strong>. In <strong><em><u>Nov 1976 <\/u><\/em><\/strong>his <strong><em><u>&#8216;Best Of&#8217;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> released to fill out his <strong><em><u>EMI <\/u><\/em><\/strong>contract <em>(with 2 different covers)<\/em> &amp; rises to <strong><em><u>#31<\/u><\/em><\/strong>on the charts, in a then strange move, 1 side is his <strong><em><u>&#8220;Beatles&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> songs &amp; the other side is his <strong><em><u>&#8220;Solo&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> songs, then reason being,\u00a0based on the dismal sales of <strong><em><u>&#8220;Lennon&#8221; &amp; &#8220;Starr&#8221; &#8220;Best Of&#8221;<\/u><\/em><\/strong> LPs, <strong><em><u>EMI<\/u><\/em><\/strong> did not want that to happen with\u00a0 <strong><em><u>Harrison&#8217;s &#8216;Best of&#8217;,<\/u><\/em><\/strong> which failed to produce better sales result.
